Since we were still playing it safe with Landen and keeping him partially quarantined, we decided to have a quiet Thanksgiving at home this year. We didn’t want to take him to a crowded family gathering where he’d be passed around and possibly exposed to a lot of germs. Even though it was just us, we definitely had no intentions of missing out on all the yummy Thanksgiving food! We went ahead and cooked ourselves a feast. I did some of the prep work the night before to keep it more manageable on Thanksgiving Day. We had turkey, gravy, stuffing, green bean casserole, mashed potatoes, cranberry fluff, and cornbread. For dessert I made a pumpkin spice cake instead of my usual ice cream pumpkin pie just to change it up a little bit. Let me tell you something … the food was amazing!!! We made all my family’s traditional recipes. Mmmmmm mmm! We should make Thanksgiving food more often.
While the turkey was cooking I got Landen dressed up for his first Thanksgiving. Isn’t he cute?
Where's the turkey!?!
Nala always get to have a little turkey with us on Thanksgiving.
Family shot! (Nala's down there, you just can't see her.) We couldn’t get Landen’s eyes off of the chandelier. J
