We survived our first night with Landen. He slept pretty well. Still on the NICU schedule so he woke up every 3 hours to eat. John and I took turns so we each got a little stretch of sleep.
First bath - he's not really a fan at this point
I think we just took too long and he got cold. He's a little disgruntled.
All better and squeaky clean!
He slept across my leg for HOURS. He was so comfy.
Ohhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!
Hi Nala!
This video isn't all that exciting but it shows what Landen looked like at that point. He was just under 37 weeks gestationally so he wasn't very alert yet.
Thursday 9/15
Umbilical cord fell off!!
Love them
Friday 9/16
Headed for the first visit to the pediatrician. It went well. At exactly 2 weeks old Landen was back to his birth weight - right on target! The doctor said we could start feeding him "on demand" rather than sticking to the NICU schedule. He said that he looked really healthy and you'd never know he was a preemie. Yay!
Landen's Aunt Deanna and Aunt Renee had this adorable sailboat set up on our lawn to announce Landen's arrival to the neighborhood. So cute!
Imagine Landen inside my tummy. This was the exact size he was when he was born. No way!
Saturday 9/17
Landen sleeps the best when one of us is holding him. He likes to reach up a grab the edge of my shirt.
I caught a smile with the camera!!
Video of one of Landen's sleepy smiles. He had just woken up and was still a bit groggy.
