Sept. 30th - Walk and Fishing

  • High: Reading a magazine in the morning with the family.
  • High: Going for a walk with Nala and John to explore.


  • Low: John not feeling too well (allergies).
  • High: Another fishing expedition!
  • High: I caught a bunch of (little) fish!
  • Low: John caught nothing ... and lost a pole in the lake trying to net one of mine.
  • High: Warm campfire to keep us toasty on a cool night.

Sept. 29th - Barney Lake

  • High: Dad and John hiking to Barney Lake while Mom and I hung out in the motorhome with Nala and watched a movie.

  •  High: Dad and John making it to Barney Lake and back.







  • High: An overall relaxing day for the girls and an adventuresome day for the boys.

Sept. 28th - Bodie

  • High: Deer coming into our campsite and licking sugar off of breakfast bowls left on the table.
  • High: Dad watching the forest service cut down trees for HOURS.

  • High: Driving to the mining ghost town of Bodie for some sightseeing.
  • High: Drive offroad on the dirt road to get to Bodie.
  • High: Checking out the city. 






  • High: Mom recognizing and chatting with the stars of CA Gold.
  • Low: Hot temperatures and no shade!
  • High: Getting treated to soft-serve ice cream on the way back to Twin Lakes.
  • High: Making s'mores around the campfire.

Sept. 27th - Fishing

  • High: Making it through the night in the tent and not freezing to death! (I had a sleeping bag and two blankets on me ... toasty!)
  •  High: Another gorgeous day!
  •  High: Going fishing with my Dad and John.

  • Low: Not catching a stinkin' fish! 
  • Low: Almost catching a BIG fish, but the line snapped just as we were about to get him in the net.
  • High: John and my Dad caught a bunch of fish.



  •  High: Watching the sun set behind the mountains.
  •  High: A successful trip!

Sept. 26th - June Lake/Mono Lake/Twin Lakes

  • Low: Running late in the morning and throwing everything in the car so we could get a move on.

  • High: Once again, great weather.
  • High: Getting to go down to the shore of June Lake (where my grandparents lived after they got married).  Bobby and I don't remember ever going down there before.  We've always just driven past it.

  • High: Family skipping rocks on the lake.  Bobby rocked at it!  John and my Dad were pretty good.  Renee, my Mom, and I stunk.  We each got it to skip once, but it was pitiful.

  • High:Completing my Nana's final request.

Hiking up the hill to get a good view of the lake and the mountains behind it.

Beautiful!

  • Low: Bobby and Renee having to drive back home and not getting to continue on with us.
  • High: Taking John to check out Mono Lake.
 
  • High: Making it to Twin Lakes!
  • High:  Seeing deer wander through the campground.

  • High: Finding a great spot to camp that was secluded yet still had hookups for the motorhome ... score!!
  • High: Enjoying the evening after we got camp set up and took a walk.
