December House Construction

December brought some good progress on the house remodel.

The tiling in the bathroom was completed and the doors and drawers were installed on the cabinetry.  Doesn’t it look great??

We opted to hang a bifold door on the entrance to the bathroom so we wouldn’t have to worry about closing the door to open up the linen cupboard.  It’s a bit unconventional but it’s working for us.

On a whim, we decided to buy new bedroom furniture from Costco.  We were really nervous about not seeing it in person but they had lots of pictures online and great reviews.  It was delivered and it is amazing!!  Such great quality and a fantastic price.  It’s going to look so good!

We had our contractors install shelving along one wall of the closet for storage.  It certainly makes the closet feel smaller but it’s going to be AMAZING for storing stuff away.

December 27th – December 31st

Thursday, December 27th
Landen got a slide from Mimi and Papa.  We couldn’t wait to put it together and let him try it out.  He’s in love!

The Mater lawn mower is definitely a hit too!

Friday, December 28th
Boxes are fun to play in!

We went out to a Chinese restaurant for dinner and discovered that Landen LOVES wonton strips.  He ate a ton!

We also discovered that they have an ancient high chair.  Oh well, it worked.

Monday, December 31st
Landen celebrated New Year’s Eve with a ride on his rocking horse … backwards of course.

Wednesday, December 26th – Walborn Family Christmas
After a couple of crazy Christmas’s where we didn’t get to celebrate the way we wanted to and nobody had a good day, we decided to try moving our Family celebration to the day after Christmas.  It worked out really well – we were rested and we could take our time and enjoy it.
