Dear Landen,
This
certainly has been a big month for you!
Lots of really fun exciting things happening. First and foremost, your vocabulary has
EXPLODED!! You have easily doubled the
words you know and there are new words emerging every day. Mommy made this Piggy Word Bank for your
daycare folder so Mimi and Lolo would know what you were trying to say to them.
Along with
all your new words, you also learned several new body parts: fingers, butt,
hair, and knee. Even more exciting for
Daddy, you’re sleeping through the night again!
Hallelujah!! You even slept in
until 8:00 am over one weekend. Mommy
bought you a new toddler memory foam pillow and you love it. Mimi has been having you take naps in your
playpen again and you’re doing well. You
fall asleep within 10 minutes and barely cry.
You are
finally comfortable at speech therapy. No more crying when we first get
there. You make some attempts at words
but you are not as talkative as you are at home. You see Ms. Karen on
Wednesdays and Ms. Jennifer on Fridays.
You like to throw items in the basket while we’re shopping. Mommy appreciates the help but she has to be
careful what she gives you because you chuck everything in there whether it’s
fragile or not. Speaking of shopping,
you’re going to bankrupt us in berry costs!
You were on another berry binge this month. In one weekend you ate an entire pound of
strawberries and a clamshell of blackberries!!
We
periodically find you spinning in circles, then you stop and feel dizzy,
recover, and then move on to something else.
It’s too funny! You’ve also
starting screaming for fun. It’s quite
loud and makes us jump when we aren’t expecting it. We took our second trip to the zoo this month
along with some of Daddy’s cousins. You
roared like crazy when we saw the tigers!!
You were definitely more into the animals this time than on our first
trip. You also liked to get out and push
the stroller instead of going for a ride.
We love how
much you’re communicating with us now and seeing your personality emerge more
and more. You light up our life! Love
you!
